Dr. Reem Kabbarah

Dr. Reem Kabbarah is the founder of Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California, a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to private practice, Dr. Reem also serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the Department of Advanced Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.

In clinical care, Dr. Reem’s philosophy is based on honoring and respecting children while caring for them using age-appropriate techniques and loving attention. The focus of her practice is on comfort in the dental setting and the promotion and maintenance of well-being. Minimal interventions using the latest technologies such as soft/hard tissue lasers and 3D dental printing are at the heart of the care that she and her team offer.

Dr. Reem is a blessed mother of two, an artist, a poet and dancer. She loves the outdoors, swimming, tennis, yoga, Pilates, music, cooking and creating.

Dr. Amy Engel grew up in the beautiful mountain town of Nevada City, California. For her Bachelor’s degree she attended Cal-poly San Luis Obispo and went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco. In dental school she developed a passion for community health service and orchestrated dental volunteer trips both locally and internationally. Many of these dental outreach trips involved working with elementary school children which is where she developed her love of pediatric dentistry.

She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California and at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Her hospital training provided extensive experience safely treating medically complex and developmentally disabled patients, as well as providing a strong background in pediatric dental trauma.

Dr. Amy is calm, caring, and compassionate. She is committed to providing the highest quality of dental care in an environment where kids feel comfortable and welcome. She wishes to help parents and patients establish lifelong healthy dental habits.

In her free time, she enjoys staying active with hiking, workout classes, and beach trips. Some of her favorite weekend hobbies include surfing and snowboarding so sunny Los Angeles is a dream come true.

Dr. Lisa Carrington comes from a family of dentists in San Francisco, California. She fell in love with sunny Los Angeles while attending Loyola Marymount University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and went on to earn a pediatric dentistry speciality degree from the University of Southern California and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles Advanced Pediatric Dentistry Program.

Dr. Lisa warmly welcomes each patient with a strong knowledge of child development and dentistry. She values having the time and patience to meet your child’s individual needs and loves creating positive dental experiences that will translate into a lifetime of good health.

Dr. Carrington is a recipient of the honorary Eric B. Bystrom, D.D.S. Memorial Pediatric Dentistry Award for Excellence in the Treatment of Special Needs Patients. Her past research projects have focused on non-invasive treatment of dental caries and early intervention of pediatric sleep apnea. Dr. Lisa has professional affiliations with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Lisa enjoys being active and exploring the outdoors with her family. She loves when patients share yummy recipes and good book recommendations at their visits!

Dr. Iman
Dr. Iman

Dr. Imanoel Golshirazian (Dr. Iman) is a Southern California native. He attended UCLA earning a degree in Psychology. Soon after, Dr. Iman headed east to attend dental school at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and continued with his Orthodontic training at Harvard. During his clinical training, Dr. Iman completed his research in the Department of Developmental Biology and received a Masters in Medical Sciences degree.

Dr. iman has enjoyed working in private practice for the last several years. He has a particular interest in technology in the orthodontic field and utilizing it to ensure safe, effective, and minimally invasive orthodontic care.

In his spare time, Dr. Iman enjoys playing basketball, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
