Dr. Reem Kabbarah is the Founder and Clinical Director of Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. She is a graduate of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California (USC), a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to private practice, Dr. Reem serves as Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. She is also an active educator, lecturer, and innovator in the fields of child- and teen-specific digital smile design, digital workflows, and emerging dental technologies.

In clinical care, Dr. Reem’s philosophy is based on honoring and respecting children while caring for them using age-appropriate techniques and loving attention. The focus of her practice is on comfort in the dental setting and the promotion and maintenance of well-being. Minimally invasive dentistry, through the thoughtful integration of technologies such as soft and hard tissue lasers, chairside digital design and fabrication, and digital workflows, is at the heart of the care that she and the Smiles Team provide.

Dr. Reem is a blessed mother of two, an artist, a poet, and a dancer. She loves the outdoors, swimming, tennis, yoga, Pilates, music, cooking, and creating.

Pediatric Dentist ,  Dr. Reem speaks with Anakela and Marc, loving parents of Bailey, who chimes in on her joys at Smiles.

Dr. Reem shares a warm conversation with Conner, whom she’s lovingly cared for since his childhood.

Dr. Reem and Nyla share a bond like no other and joyful memories to last a lifetime.

Dr. Reem welcomes Dr. Steven Shao and Mr. William Pang. Both dear friends and passionate innovators in the field of 3D printing in Dentistry. The Tesla Cyber Truck is an added bonus!

We were honored to welcome an inspiring group of pediatric colleagues to Smiles Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics for our first Pediatricians Evening—an evening dedicated to strengthening the partnership between pediatric medicine and pediatric dentistry.

As the CSPD Liaison to AAP Chapter 2, our founder, Dr. Reem, is incredibly passionate about fostering these meaningful connections. Together, we shared ideas, toured our office, and explored opportunities for future collaboration—including the possibility of a webinar or podcast-style Q&A to continue these conversations for the benefit of the children and families we serve.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful guests and team:

Dr. Alexander Alcaraz (Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC)

Dr. Blake Alban (UCLA Health)

Dr. Noël Salyer, Dr. Karina Eastman, and Dr. Lily Marouf (Pacific Ocean Pediatrics)

Dr. Ivy Vuong (Our amazing Smiles orthodontist)

Our fantastic team members, Sejal Thapa and Jocelyn Papaqui

Dr. Reem’s daughter, Isabel, who proudly welcomed our guests and gave tours of Smiles with so much warmth and enthusiasm!

A special thank you to Dr. Reem’s AAP Chapter 2 counterpart, Dr. Thomas Torices, for your encouragement and support of this collaboration. Although you couldn’t join us in person, your message beautifully reflected the spirit of the evening. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

This is just the beginning. Here’s to building stronger relationships, sharing knowledge across disciplines, and working together to help every child thrive. 🦷🚀
